Day 1: Arrive Nairobi
Having landed in Nairobi you will be met and whisked straight to the domestic airport for your light aircraft flight to the Maasai Mara, where you’ll be met by a scene straight from Out of Africa. Miles of glorious savannah, the odd acacia tree and possibly a giraffe loping past. The adventure begins as soon as you land with a game drive into camp. Governor’s Camp sits alongside the Mara River in the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve, where you’ll spot hippos and crocodile basking in the water. Your tent has a private bathroom and a private verandah. You’re likely to arrive as dusk begins to settle so once you’ve been settled into your beautiful tented room, it will be time for a sundowner (that’s African for gin and tonic) and gathering with other guests around the camp fire. Enjoy a delicious supper before retiring to bed for some much needed rest.
Day 2: Maasai Mara
For the next two days the wilderness is yours as you join daily morning and evening game drives around one of the most wildlife rich and beautiful places on the planet. Governor’s Camp occupies one of the best locations for wildlife viewing in Kenya.

Day 4: Maasai Mara – Lamu
After a final game drive this morning, wave goodbye to the bush and fly by light aircraft, via Nairobi, to the island of Lamu. It's hard to describe Lamu as it's quite unique but think laid back and utterly unpretentious with a friendly African vibe and seemingly never-ending sunshine. Here, you will check into the paradisiacal Manda Bay, a beachfront hotel surrounded by tranquil mangroves, stunning coral reefs, and endless golden sands.
Day 5: Lamu
Spend the day relaxing by the swimming pool and exploring the extraordinary nearby ruins of Manda Town. This heavenly beachfront retreat is also ideal for watersports, including waterskiing, windsurfing and diving. There is even the chance to hire a dhow (a traditional Swahili sailing boat) for a morning or sunset cruise.
Day 6: Lamu
Spend the day relaxing by the swimming pool and exploring the extraordinary nearby ruins of Manda Town.
